Although he did not assume office until January of 2008, Mayor-elect Robert Correia made an early December stop at Family Service Association to address the agency's general staff meeting.
The city's new chief executive left his long-standing leadership position in the Massachusetts House of Representatives where, most recently, he served as House Chairman of the Committee on Elder Affairs.
Correia had high praise for Family Service Association and thanked the staff members for their dedication and commitment to families.
He expressed hope that the agency will partner with his new administration to continue to serve the local population and address its needs.
