Monument to fallen officers is officially dedicated
After several years of fundraising and planning, the Fall River Police Department dedicated its remarkable new memorial to its police officers, including those who have lost their lives while serving their community.
The unique design features a detailed statue of a police officer holding the hand of a young girl. Behind them is a granite monument to all Fall River officers, past and present.
Also included are granite markers in honor of the three Fall River Police Department officers who were killed in the line of duty.

RIGHT - A close up view of the life-sized statue of a Fall River Police Officer. The creators of the statue copied the Fall River Police Department uniform down to the smallest detail. See the picture BELOW and note the detailed uniform patch, lapel pin, and badge.
RIGHT - The young girl holding the police officer's hand symbolizes not only children, but people of all ages who are served by the men and women of the Fall River Police Department.
Below are the granite markers dedicated to the memory of the Fall River officers who lost their lives in the line of duty -- Officer John Ruggiero, Officer Thomas Giunta, and Detective Rick Magan.
